Michael is the Executive Vice President – Commercial Development Informa Markets and Informa Group. Michael has worked in the exhibitions industry for over 30 years, across many geographies, particularly in Asia, using Hong Kong as his base. He joined the business in 1994 and has worked in various leadership roles, focused on building up the company’s presence in Asia in particular, China and India, the Middle East and Africa, as well as overseeing Informa Markets’ Cruise and Beauty verticals in the United States .
Currently Outgoing President of UFI, the global exhibitions industry body based in Paris, France. Michael continues to be a member of the Executive Committee and founded and chaired the Asia, Middle East and Africa and Sustainability chapters. Also, he has been a director of the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Industry Association (HKECIA) and its Chairman for 2 years.
Previously he was Trading Director for the Vestey Group businesses based out of Hong Kong and lived and worked for them in New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom , Italy and Greece.
Michael has been a Rotarian for 30+ years and has been VP of the Mother club District 3450 in Hong Kong for 5 years.
